I got one of these for my birthday, the fact it can fly from water was also appealing. Just had a maiden flight, first of 2014, and it flies really well as a just go n' fly hack. Looking forward to try it on water

was quite impressed. 3s 1300mah battery looks to be about 7mins. Can take upto 2100mah so probably 10mins but not sure how much the extra weight effects. Hopefully some snow to play with in the nearish future!

At work (Queenborough) being close to sea i've found a nice a'lake' and as it was actually a nice sunny day with low wind, finally tried it out on water.
 It's brilliant! Lots of fun.
Touch n' go's on water is really different.

It's more agile with the 1300mah battery (being less weight)
but flies perfectly well with the 2200mah 3s lipo, just can't quite turn and fly up its own 'tail pipe' as it can with the 1300mah.

Surely your not thinking about building the Walrus until you've finished the triplane???

Triplane is effectively 'done' if the field was open and weather good I would be flying it now

Well done that man
Make sure the Walrus is water proof - although the full size ones always let in water. That's why they never looped them even though Mitchell's design was capable.
