As I awoke this morning I was greeted by a message from my bestie and flying partner Chris with a video from a drone flyer called Ian.He outlines all the NEW regulations that are in effect from today onwards.
I think its a really good video so have emailed him and he has granted permission for us to use it here for your information.
click on the link below to launch (pun intended!) the video.

The reg's or article 16 can be read on the BMFA's site . Everyone will have to sign / tick box to say they have read and understood them to fly legally . Dont forget that your BMFA insurance ill only be valid if "You are legal to fly".

When you have read them its just as easy to take the new competency test on the BMFA site . Its valid for 5 years , free to take and you can it take as many times as it takes to get a pass score.

One thing of note is that it is now a requirement to have CAA registration to fly a control line model if the  MTOW (mass take off Mass ) exceeds 1Kg . A bit OTT ?  Again obviously written by a non flying boffin .
:D
