Hi Ian - £14 is the cutting price, plus £4.50 for the timber.

Hi Ali
the original plan called for a 1510 motor which fits nicely. The only place I could track one down was HobbyKing so that's what I got. HK are probably the best prices, apart from shipping costs because they are only available from the international warehouse. However if we get together and order bulk we should be able to save on the shipping. I also got the prop(pack of 2) and esc from there or just over $21 all together plus shipping, which is not to sad.
Regards the batteries a 2S between 460 and 900mHa will do and can be sourced in the uk. Obviously the higher capacity will run longer but add weight.
I'm just doing the drawings for the FW190 and I think that should be about the same cost as the Mustang. I plan to rearrange the cutting plan as well to attempt to cut costs ie the price is based on time and if, say two straight edges are joined together, they can be cut in one pass. See how we go??

Hi everyone i have done some pricing and it works out the hardwear forthe funfigjters is £26 from hobbyking and £34 from robotbirds. That is for motor,ESC,3xservos,lipo and postage if we wanted to do a bulk order i would have to have the money first. If you want to source your own parts feel free let me know  if anyone is interested.Ian

Hi glen I will look into it as I got the price from 12 people having the same things however if there is only s few people going for it,it might be worth not getting lipos from hobbyking as it bumps the postage up. So bear with I will see who wants to go in together and get back to you.
Col no probs
Martin mines a mustang by the way

I had to order some lipos so I've added the parts I need to that order, so don't worry about adding my stuff to a bulk order :) any news on the laser cut kits?

Hi Glen and fun flyers
I have nearly finished the prototype FW190. I thought I'd build one to prove the drawing and have just some minor tweaks to make for the final version.
I'll probably place the order later next week to give any late comers a chance to join in. So far there are about a dozen participants. Obviously I can place subsequent orders but the price will be a bit higher due to shipping costs.
As well as the balsa parts I am going to order laser cut ply parts (motor mount, horns and guides for the pushrod) as several people have asked for them.
If you think it's a good idea, I can get you the leading edge strip and a 1.6mm sheet of balsa for the fuselage sheeting.
Hope that's ok. Comments about the extra balsa would be welcome on this blog.
Martin
