Ah thats a good question these days what with China gobbling up all the scrap . I picked up a stack at a model auction some years ago . Might be worth putting an add on some of the classified such ass BMFA?

If you know of an printing company that still does litho printing, (few and far between these days)! they'll give a few old plates if you ask nicely! I used do a bit of litho printing many years ago, I think plastic plates are more the fashion these days!

Cheers

You can use coke cans but make sure that they are the  ali ones not the  thin steel type  . Its fiddly but easy and free . Cut the top and bottom off and split down the side then anneal . Use printed side down if you want the polished effect.
