following Nevs suggestion of silver PVA for rivets on scale models , I eventually got to speak to 5star products. they can supply a Silver Cyano ideal for applying rivets but, theres always a but . The silver content has to be added to the cyano and then it has a limited shelf life , between one and two weeks ,possibly three if kept in a fridge . The other option is a very fast setting sequrity  paint . It has the consistency of thick cyano and can be applied with a pipette the same way as cyano .  It dries almost imediatly and hardens through in about 20 mins . It can then be gently sanded to show silver when weathering.
